A.Z. Young Park

The project consisted of the reclamation 5 acres of green space in the Louisiana State Capitol Park after the demolition of a former state office building. The plans accent three Legacy Live Oaks and provided a new great lawn berm for public events and festivals, as well as a new circulation system through the space from the Capitol Park Visitors Center to the State Capitol Gardens and Building. The walking paths are enhanced by seating areas and provide way-finding signage for the park, as well as throughout the Downtown area.
