Doug Williams Stadium
After providing master planning services to the Louisiana Leadership Institute for their Baton Rouge campus, the first phase of construction included an artificial turf football field and 4000 seat stadium. The master plan included a new band hall, parking, lighting, concessions/rest room pavilion, as well as baseball, softball and track facilities. The artificial turf used new technology for drainage and sub-base in order to complete the project given a challenging budget. The field and stadium are named for Grambling University and Washington Redskins great, Doug Williams, the Super Bowl – XXI MVP.
