Lighthouse Park & Memorial Plaza (Hancock Bank Corporate Headquarters)

Built after the devastation of downtown Gulfport during Hurricane Katrina, this memorial plaza is designed to be a multipurpose, public green space that honors those who died in the storm, and signifies the strength and resolve of the community. The design form actively symbolizes the storm, the flood, the receding waters, and the resurrection of the community. This project received an Honor Award in 2008 from the Louisiana Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
