Perkins Road X-Treme Sports Park Master Plan

This master plan redefined an existing community park which once served as a venue for football and baseball into an extreme sports park for the city. The park elicits an “edgy” identity as a center for skate boarding, BMX, and fixed-gear bicycling, rock climbing, and other action sports. The plan consolidated these action sports into use areas that radiate out from the wheel-shaped action sports hub. Additionally, signage and streetscape treatments consistent with the park’s new identity are also included in the plan.
