Tunica Hills State Preservation Area
The proposed master plan was to maintain the natural assets of the land, which are hardwood forests, waterfalls, clear water and sandy streams, severe topography, and the Mississippi riverfront. The intent of the project is to create a natural area that truly interprets the spectacular natural assets of the site in a dynamic and eco-sensitive way, while still becoming a major eco-tourism draw to the area. This project received a Merit Award in 2004 from the Louisiana Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
